Stefano Pesarelli, born in Turin in
1969, is a traveller, a photographer and a writer who created AfricaWildTruck, a
Malawi-based tour operator, in 2004. Specialized in
photographic safaris and reporting workshops, he is often travelling between Malawi, Zambia, Mozambico, Tanzania and Kenya. He is a part of Canon
Professional Services and is registered as a professional photographer to FIOF.
His images have achieved high levels in international competitions such as Black and White Professional Awards, PX3 Prix de
la Photographie Paris, EYE’EM International Contest, IPHONEOGRAPHY International
Contest 2010, National Geographic USA Photo Contest 2011. In 2012 he won the
Mobile Photo Awards Grand Prize.He
has exhibited his work in various Italian cities and abroad and has published
reports on Witness Journal, Nigrizia,
Africa, Repubblica.it, D Repubblica, Lastampa.it. From time to time he uses reflex, Polaroid,
iPhone – hisprojectAfrica
through iPhone is a collection of pictures taken and processed by iPhone
and presented on blogs about photography. He is a member of Oasis Photographer
and a tutor and acontributor for
Manfrotto School of Xcellence and QIP Qualified Italian Photographer. He is
also the author of various travel guides for Polaris publishing house.
